The zirconium silicate grinding medium is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 50-70 parts of zircon sand, 5-7 parts of silica powder, 5-7 parts of talcum powder, 10-12 parts of kaolin and 3-5 parts of a forming aid. According to the preparation method of the zirconium silicate grinding medium, filtering material treatment is conducted through the filtering net, the grinding material obtained after filtering material treatment is collected through the discharging pipe, grinding equipment adopted in the method is simple and compact in overall structure, compared with existing grinding machinery, the manufacturing cost is greatly reduced, operation and use are convenient, raw materials can be finely ground through the upper grinding disc and the lower grinding disc, meanwhile, through the cooperation of the upper grinding disc and the lower grinding disc and the use of the filter screen, it can be guaranteed that grinding materials treated through grinding equipment can reach the required specification and size, and the forming effect of a grinding medium can be improved by using forming auxiliaries in the raw materials of the zirconium silicate grinding medium; and the forming quality of the zirconium silicate grinding medium is further improved.
