The invention discloses a simple adjusting device and method for supporting axial force of a steel supporting system. The simple adjusting device for the supporting axial force of the steel supporting system comprises a first end plate, a second end plate, a first inclined supporting rod, a second inclined supporting rod, a displacement adjuster and a force sensor, wherein a first lug plate is arranged on the first end plate, and the first inclined supporting rod and the second inclined supporting rod are hinged to the first lug plate; a rolling mechanism is arranged at the other end of the first inclined supporting rod and the other end of the second inclined supporting rod; a guide mechanism is arranged on the second end plate, and the rolling mechanism can move along the guide mechanism; and the two ends of the displacement adjuster are hinged to the end of the first inclined supporting rod and the end of the second inclined supporting rod respectively. The displacement adjuster is used for changing the displacement of the first inclined supporting rod and the displacement of the second inclined supporting rod, and therefore acting force on the first end plate can reach needed acting force, and the effect of generating large supporting force through small tensioning force is achieved. The simple adjusting device has the advantages of being simple in structure, convenient to operate, low in cost, high in safety and the like.
