The invention discloses a cuttable regenerative furnace lining thermal insulation material which is mainly prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 80-180 parts of recycled waste thermal insulation cotton, 4-15 parts of a curing agent, 0.2-4 parts of a dispersing agent, 150-240 parts of water and 150-240 parts of water glass. The preparation method comprises the following steps: weighing the raw materials in parts by weight, uniformly mixing, pouring into a mold for molding, drying for 24-72 hours, and cutting. The obtained thermal insulation material has the advantages of being low in heat conductivity coefficient, light in capacity and good in fireproof performance.
