The invention provides a tundish fire-resistant coating. The coating product has a tundish working layer which is less in water addition during site construction, has certain plasticity during use, and is short in on-line pre-baking time and high in erosion resistance. Specifically, the tundish fire-resistant plastic coating is prepared from the following components in percentage by weight: 25 to 45 percent of 95 medium-grade magnesia with the particle size of 3 to 1 mm, 20 to 30 percent of 95 medium-grade magnesia with the particle size of 1 to 0.5 mm, 30 to 40 percent of 95 medium-grade magnesia powder with the particle size of less than or equal to 0.088 mm, 0.3 to 0.6 percent of straw fiber, 0.5 to 0.8 percent of waste newspaper fiber, 0.1 to 0.2 percent of 130-DEG C explosion-proof hollow fiber, 0.2 to 0.4 percent of calcium lignosulphonate, 0.02 to 0.04 percent of explosion-proof agent, 0.05 to 0.08 percent of polycarboxylic acid water reducing agent, 2 to 5 percent of alkaline silica powder and 0.5 to 1 percent of plasticizer PT30L.
