The invention relates to the technical field of overflow of water tanks, and particularly relates to an automatic control system for overflow of a water tank. The automatic control system comprises the water tank, wherein a water inlet hole is formed in the upper part of the left side surface of the water tank; a water inlet pipe is arranged on the water inlet hole; a hydraulic floating ball valve is mounted on the water inlet pipe; an electric valve is mounted on a pipeline of the water inlet pipe on the right side of the hydraulic floating ball valve; a pipe orifice in the left side end of the water inlet pipe is connected with a municipal tap water pipe network; an overflow hole is formed in the upper part of the right side surface of the water tank; an overflow pipe is arranged on the overflow hole; an overflow probe is mounted on the overflow pipe; and a low-water-level sensing probe is arranged at the lower part of the rear surface in the water tank. According to the automatic control system, the electric valve is mounted on the water inlet pipe, the overflow probe is mounted on the overflow pipe, the low-water-level sensing probe is mounted at the lower part in the water tank, and a PLC (programmable logic controller) is used for controlling the actions of the components; and the automatic control system has the advantages of convenience in use, capability of conveniently and effectively controlling the overflow of the water tank and saving water resources and the like.
