The invention discloses a discrete type self-resetting energy dissipation pier. A multi-layer structure which is arranged up and down and sequentially connected is adopted, and each layer of structure is composed of a plurality of discrete columns which are different or identical in length and are tightly combined together in a multi-row and multi-column mode through connecting assemblies. The method has the advantages that discrete columns are adopted for assembly type assembly, digital management and green buildings are combined, the construction period is shortened, tedious procedures such as later maintenance are avoided, and construction can be conducted under any temperature condition. The integral principle is used for energy dissipation for the first time, integral type energy dissipation and post-earthquake self-resetting functions are achieved through contraction and recovery of the disc springs distributed at all corners of the discrete column, the problems that in the traditional sense, when energy dissipation is conducted on a single part, damage is prone to occurring, and the amplitude is large are solved, and the stability and reliability of the upper structure are greatly improved. The discrete columns in the bottommost layer structure are arranged at different heights, so that the discrete columns at each height are in an interlocking relation, and the integrity of the bridge pier is improved from the physical level.
