Provided is an excavation protection method for earthwork adjacent to a high slope of a residential area. The method is characterized by including the steps that a, blasting operation is strictly prohibited near the residential area by 10 m, and a mechanical breaking and chiseling method is adopted; b, excavation is conducted from top to bottom, and steps are arranged step by step; c, an earthwork vehicle enters and exits in order, signals sent by site construction management personnel are used as traffic guidance signals; d, the daytime noise limit value of each excavation machine and the earthwork vehicle is controlled to be 75 decibels; e, a stone intercepting ditch is arranged on a temporary construction shortcut; f, a stone blocking wall is arranged at the outer side of the stone intercepting ditch; g, a protective net high protective wall is arranged outside the stone blocking wall; h, water is regularly sprinkled on a construction site; and i, an excavated slope is protected by adopting a soil dressing spray-seeding slope. The excavation protection method for the earthwork adjacent to the high slope of the residential area has the advantages that the earthwork excavation blasting mode is simple and effective, the working efficiency of breaking and chiseling a hard rock area is high, and the life of residents is prevented from being influenced by slope excavation.
