The embodiment of the invention provides a connecting mechanism for an excavator and the excavator. The connecting mechanism for the excavator comprises a pin shaft, a pin shaft fixing device and a pressing device, wherein the pin shaft is arranged between a bucket and a bucket rod of the excavator in a penetrating mode, the pin shaft fixing device is connected between the bucket and the pin shaft so that the pin shaft can be connected to the bucket and the bucket rod, and the pressing device is installed on the other side of the bucket so that the bucket can be connected to the bucket rod in a pressing mode. Through the structural arrangement, the bucket is fixedly connected to the bucket rod through the pin shaft and the pin shaft fixing device. The pressing device is mounted on one side of the bucket, and the pressing device can press and connect the bucket and the bucket rod all the time. Therefore, the connection gap between the bucket and the bucket rod can be adjusted without disassembling a large number of parts, so that time and labor are saved, and the work efficiency is greatly improved.
