The invention relates to a construction method for additionally building a new corridor below an old corridor in an old building. The construction method comprises the following steps of (S1) lifting a steel beam to a feeding platform in multiple sections; (S2) conveying the multiple sections of steel beams to a corridor in a building from a side opening along a feeding rail; (S3) transferring the multiple sections of steel beams on the feeding rail to a conveying rail, then rotating to a mounting rail, and mutually connecting the multiple sections of steel beams in a mounting room so as to form a complete steel beam; (S4) lifting and moving the steel beam to the mouting position; and (S5) fixing a beam support to the position, which is located below a mounting floor, of an original beam in the building, so that both ends of the steel beam are located between the mounting floor and the beam support, and then fixing the both ends of the steel beam to the original beam, so that the entrance installation of the steel beam can be completed. The construction method has the effect that the new corridor can be additionally built below the old corridor in the old building.
