The invention discloses a pipe joint and a drain pipe assembly. The pipe joint comprises a joint body, a sleeve and a clamping ring, wherein the rear end of the joint body is connected to one drain pipe, and the joint body is provided with a sealing ring; a first clamping groove is formed in the joint body; the rear end of the sleeve is connected to the other drain pipe, a second clamping groove is formed in the sleeve, and the joint body extends into the sleeve from the front end of the sleeve and is in contact with the inner wall of the sleeve through the sealing ring so as to be sealed with the sleeve; the clamping ring is provided with an opening so as to be opened through elastic deformation and arranged outside the joint body and the sleeve in a sleeving mode at the same time; and a first clamping strip and a second clamping strip which are axially spaced are formed on the inner wall of the clamping ring, so that when the clamping ring is arranged outside the joint body and the sleeve in a sleeving mode, the first clamping strip and the second clamping strip are correspondingly embedded in the first clamping groove and the second clamping groove respectively.
