According to the river channel cleaning device, potential difference is generated between the surrounding water surface and the interior of the barrel body in the mode that the built-in floating barrel floats up and down, so that surrounding water flow drives garbage on the water surface to move into the cavity, and then the garbage on the river surface is collected; and meanwhile, the separated water flow is sprayed out, the position of the device in the river channel is adjusted by taking the counter-acting force during spraying out as a power source, and it is guaranteed that the device can freely move in the river channel in the garbage downstream cleaning process.
