The invention provides a gravity type releasing variable-diameter reinforcement cage for an anchor rod or a pile foundation. The gravity type releasing variable-diameter reinforcement cage comprises an axial rod, N circular rings or annular plates and N groups of ribs, wherein N is more than 3; the circular rings or the annular plates are uniformly distributed on the axial rod and slide on the axial rod; one end of each rib in each group is uniformly and movably fixed on the corresponding circular ring or annular plate; the other end of each rib is a free end or a vertical rib; when the vertical ribs are connected, the other end of each rib is movably and fixedly connected to the vertical ribs which are uniformly distributed at the periphery of the axial rod respectively; the number of each group of ribs is equal to that of the vertical ribs; the number is 4 to 12 and N is more than 3; a pressure bearing plate and a connecting pipe are arranged at the upper part or the lower part of the reinforcement cage; the connecting pipe is a force application end; and the pressure bearing plate is in contact with one circular ring or annular plate to apply sliding releasing force of the circular ring or annular plate.
