The invention relates to a roof drainage structure and a construction method thereof. The roof drainage structure comprises a bearing part, a water outlet, a water collecting tank and a water pipe assembly, wherein the bearing part is formed at the edge of a roof corresponding to a swinging column and is used for bearing rainwater on the roof; the water outlet is formed in the bearing part corresponding to the swinging column; the water collecting tank is installed in the swinging column corresponding to the water outlet and is provided with a notch which is connected and communicated with the water outlet; and the water pipe assembly is installed in the swinging column and penetrates up and down, the top end of the water pipe assembly is connected with the water collecting tank, the bottom end of the water pipe assembly is connected with a drainage system, and the water pipe assembly communicates with the water collecting tank and the drainage system. According to the roof drainage structure, the problem that a drain pipe is exposed, is easy to damage, occupies space and is not attractive is solved.
