The invention provides a connecting device and a connecting method for detachable modules of a steel structure modular building. The connecting device comprises a corridor prefabricated plate and a combined connecting piece, wherein the combined connecting piece is arranged on a standard module, and the corridor prefabricated plate is connected with the combined connecting piece; and the corridor prefabricated plate comprises a bottom plate and edge beams, the edge beams are arranged on the two sides of the bottom plate, and connecting holes are formed in the two ends of each edge beam, so that the edge beams can be conveniently connected with the combined connecting piece. The connecting device and the connecting method have the beneficial effects that a top plate and corner columns at local parts of a module unit are omitted, so that the manufacturing cost is reduced, the modules are more standardized, and the disassembled corridor prefabricated plate is convenient to transport; when the building module is used, the clear height of a room is increased, and the arrangement of equipment pipelines is facilitated; and the connecting, disassembling and assembling efficiency of the adjacent modules is high, the force transmission is clear, the function of connecting the modules on the two sides into the overall space is well achieved, and the connecting device and the connecting method can be widely popularized and applied.
