The invention relates to the field of inorganic grouting plugging materials, and particularly discloses an inorganic grouting plugging material and a preparation method thereof. The inorganic grouting plugging material provided by the invention is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 10-15 parts of a metal waste residue-calcium silicate compound, 40-50 parts of a sulphoaluminate cement clinker, 1-3 parts of hydroxy carboxylate, 0.1-0.5 part of hydroxy amine chloride, 1-2 parts of a plasticizer and 2-8 parts of aluminate cement, wherein the metal-calcium silicate compound is prepared from raw materials including metal waste residues and microporous calcium silicate. The inorganic grouting plugging material has the advantages that the metal waste residues are waste residues generated in the metal smelting process, the calcium silicate is slag generated in the blast furnace ironmaking process, and the cost of the inorganic grouting plugging material is greatly saved.
