The invention discloses a road waterproof expansion joint reinforcing method. The reinforcing method comprises the following steps that: 1, concrete is broken and removed; 2, the damage condition of a damaged expansion joint is investigated, and the reason is analysed; 3, a supporting formwork is installed, mortar is poured between the supporting formwork and the road surface, and an expansion joint groove is obtained; 4, profile steel is installed, the profile steel is placed above the supporting formwork and fixed through screws, and meanwhile screws between rubber strips and the profile steel are replaced; 5, profile steel anchor bars and original embedded bars are welded; 6, the lower portion of the expansion joint and a gap between steel beams are filled with foam plates, and the top face of the expansion joint is sealed with a transparent adhesive tape, an anti-cracking reinforcing mesh is placed; 7, concrete pouring is conducted; and step 8, repairing is performed through resin type light resin mortar. According to the method, different damage conditions are analyzed, so that corresponding processing schemes are made, and the problem of unreasonable expansion joint design is fundamentally solved.
