The invention relates to the technical field of constructional engineering, and discloses a prefabricated building and a mounting method thereof. The prefabricated building comprises a wall; a movable block is movably mounted in the middle of the wall; a fixed plate located in the middle of the movable block is fixedly mounted in the middle of the wall; a liquid storage cavity located on the left side of the fixed plate is formed in the middle of the movable block; and a liquid through hole formed in the left side of the fixed plate is formed in an inner cavity of the wall. According to the prefabricated building and the mounting method thereof, by arranging a gap filling mechanism, when a wallboard is normally installed, a shifting plate can be pushed rightwards, and the movable block moves rightwards, so that under blocking of the fixed plate, liquid in the liquid storage cavity flows into a corrugated pipe through the liquid through hole and a liquid conveying groove and extends outwards through a first connecting block and a second connecting block. Therefore, the connecting ends of the two wallboards can be spliced within a certain angle, and the problems that the wallboards are inclined at a certain angle during installation due to construction errors, the wallboards cannot be installed, and gaps exist at the connecting positions of the wallboards are solved.
