The invention relates to a furnace shell winter welding heat preservation shed. The furnace shell winter welding heat preservation shed comprises a shed roof formed by connecting a plurality of trusses through a center point and further comprises windproof tarpaulin hung to the welding position of a furnace shell from the top of the shed roof, and the lower end of the windproof tarpaulin is connected with a welding operation platform in a sealed mode. The invention further provides a method for protecting construction by combining the furnace shell winter welding heat preservation shed. The method comprises the steps that windproof tarpaulin is hung on the top of the heat preservation shed from top to bottom, and the lower end of the windproof tarpaulin is tightly sealed with the welding operation platform; a fan heater is installed in the windproof tarpaulin to heat the interior of the heat preservation shed; ceramic heating equipment is installed along a welding seam to conduct preheating and postweld heat treatment on a welded junction; and the fan heater and the ceramic heating equipment are connected with the power distribution system and are powered by the power distribution system for heating. According to the method, the welding position of a blast furnace is well separated from the external environment, the severe influence of cold air on the temperature change of a welding seam is reduced, the problem of incomplete stress release of the welding seam is avoided, and the welding quality requirement is met.
