The invention discloses phase change concrete and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method comprises the steps that a natural inorganic porous material serves as a carrier, a hydrated salt phase-change material is loaded, a hydrated salt-porous carrier compound is prepared, then the hydrated salt-porous carrier compound is wrapped with water-soluble silicon or water glass, a hydrogel-coated hydrated salt-porous material compound type phase-change energy storage material is prepared after dehydrating, and the hydrogel-coated hydrated salt-porous material compound type phase-change energy storage material is mixed with concrete to obtain the phase-change concrete. According to the phase-change concrete, the hydrated salt phase-change material is isolated from the concrete, the heat storage and release performance of the hydrated salt phase-change material is kept, and possible hydrated salt leakage and migration in the mixing process of the hydrated salt phase-change material and the concrete and the application process of the phase-change concrete are completely eradicated through multi-layer coating of hydrogel, so that the hydrated salt phase change energy storage material can be applied to concrete.
