The interlocking type ecological beach protection block comprises a horizontally-placed semi-cylindrical main body; a longitudinal tenon is arranged on the vertical face of the left end of the main body; a longitudinal mortise matched with the longitudinal tenon is formed in the vertical face of the right end of the main body; a transverse tenon is arranged on the cambered surface of the front side of the main body; a transverse mortise matched with the transverse tenon is formed in the cambered surface of the rear side of the main body; holes are formed in the middle and the corners of the main body; and the hole in the middle is larger than the holes in the corners. The invention further discloses a beach protection structure adopting the beach protection block. While the traditional beach protection function is exerted, a good habitat can be provided for aquatic organisms, and a good ecological landscape is built for a river bank; and in addition, a hollowed-out part can be flexibly treated according to field water flow, topographic conditions, biological population structures and the like, so that the functionality and ecology under different conditions are met.
