The invention belongs to the technical field of hollow bricks, and particularly relates to a clay hollow brick. The clay hollow brick comprises a brick body and wooden plugs; the brick body is designed to be rectangular; rectangular holes are uniformly formed in the upper surface of the brick body; the depth of the rectangular holes is smaller than the thickness of the brick body; a separation groove is formed between every two rectangular holes; a rectangular groove is formed in the bottom of each separation groove; and the wooden plugs are connected in the rectangular grooves in a sliding manner. The wooden plugs are slidably connected into the rectangular grooves, and the tops of the wooden plugs are gradually widened, so that when a building worker needs to cut bricks, the building worker only needs to knock the wooden plugs, the wooden plugs move towards the bottom of the brick body, the rectangular grooves are impacted by the wooden plugs, and brick bodies are separated; the separated brick bodies are neat, and quality of the brick bodies is not affected after separation; and meanwhile, the physical strength of constructors can be effectively reduced, the potential safety hazards of the constructors are reduced, and the bearing capacity of the brick bodies can be effectively improved through cooperation of the wooden plugs and supporting strips.
