The invention provides a support capable of adjusting the elevation. The support comprises an upper pedestal, a self-locking adjusting mechanism, a jacking mechanism and a lower pedestal; the self-locking adjusting mechanism and the jacking mechanism are both located between the upper pedestal and the lower pedestal; a fixed step part is arranged at the bottom of the upper pedestal, and the self-locking adjusting mechanism comprises an adjusting rod and a movable step block matched with the fixed step part; and the movable step block is arranged on the adjusting rod in a sliding mode. Through the jacking mechanism and the self-locking adjusting mechanism, elevation adjustment and self-locking of the support are achieved, and the overall service life of the support can be prolonged; and self-locking is carried out through the movable step block, relative sliding is not likely to happen between the fixed step part and the movable step block, and the self-locking reliability is high.
