The preparation process of the elliptical silicon carbide graphite crucible comprises the steps of S1, adding 35%-45% by mass of graphite, 38%-48% by mass of silicon carbide and 7%-27% by mass of an additive into a mixing mill; S2, filling a mold with the mixed material in the S1, sealing the mold, and putting the sealed mold into a cold isostatic press to be pressed; S3, taking out the pressed mold, disassembling, and removing redundant burrs on the edge of an upper opening of the product blank; S4, putting the product blank into a curing kiln to be dried; S5, coating the dried product blank with an anti-oxidation coating; and S6, enabling the product blank to be subjected to calcination forming machining. The prepared crucible has the advantage of good heat-conducting property. The elliptical silicon carbide graphite crucible comprises the crucible prepared on the basis of the preparation process, and an adjusting plate is arranged in the crucible. The crucible solves the problem that molten metal in the crucible is not easy to scoop.
