The preparation method of the single-component polyurethane modified asphalt comprises the following steps: mixing the NCO-terminated polyurethane prepolymer, the active toughening agent and the compatilizer with liquid asphalt, and shearing at high temperature to obtain the single-component polyurethane modified asphalt. According to the single-component polyurethane modified asphalt mixture and the preparation method thereof, the problem that the polyurethane modified asphalt in the prior art is poor in toughness and rapid in curing reaction and thus the road construction requirement cannot be met can be effectively solved.
