The invention discloses a rod piece connecting system and a connecting method thereof. The connecting system comprises a sleeve for connecting rod pieces and a special anvil for extruding the sleeve to realize fixed connection between the sleeve and the rod pieces; and the connecting method adopts a rivet pressing mechanism to drive the special anvil to axially extrude the sleeve to realize shrinkage riveting connection of the sleeve. The connecting system uses a metal plastic deformation principle, uses an extrusion mounting tool for extruding the sleeve in the axis direction of the sleeve to shrink the outer diameter of the sleeve; sleeve metal flows into a gap between a steel bar transverse rib and a transverse rib in the radial direction, or the sleeve clamps the rod pieces, so that a certain tensile strength is achieved between the rod pieces; steel bars or the rod pieces and the sleeve form a whole with a certain tensile strength; the extrusion connecting mode of the sleeve and the steel bars or the rod pieces guarantees the consistency and the stability of the connecting strength of all joints, so that the joint performance defects caused by manual operation are prevented, the connection is firmer, and the strength is higher; and such machining as heading, peeling and thread rolling is not needed, so that the speed is fast, and the mounting efficiency is high.
