The invention relates to the field of green buildings, and particularly discloses a green roof capable of being additionally covered. The green roof comprises a connecting bottom plate, a first-layer roof plate, a second-layer roof plate and a third-layer roof plate, wherein a plurality of connecting columns are arranged at the bottom of the connecting bottom plate, and the connecting bottom plate is pre-buried at the bottom of the third-layer roof plate; a photovoltaic unit and a water filtering unit are arranged on the first-layer roof plate, and steel bars and first steel columns are arranged on the periphery of the bottom of the first-layer roof plate; a first water storage chamber and a second water storage chamber are arranged on the second-layer roof plate, steel bars are arranged on the periphery of the upper end of the second-layer roof plate, and connecting columns are arranged at the bottom of the second-layer roof plate; and connecting holes allowing the connecting columns to be inserted therein are formed in the upper end of the third-layer roof plate, an equipment cavity and a pipeline system are arranged on the third-layer roof plate, the pipeline system communicates with the first water storage chamber and the second water storage chamber, and the lower end of the pipeline system communicates with the interior of a building. The green roof aims at solving the technical problem of additionally covering a roof system on an existing building.
