The invention relates to a tower column cross beam support ground pre-pressing device and method and relates to the technical field of bridge construction. The support comprises a plurality of truss pieces, wherein a pre-pressing device is used for pre-pressing a test piece, and the test piece comprises two truss pieces which are in central symmetry and are connected; the pre-pressing device comprises a support and a plurality of pre-pressing mechanisms, wherein the support is used for supporting the test piece; each pre-pressing mechanism corresponds to two symmetrical nodes on the upper chord members of the two truss pieces of the test piece; two ends of the pre-pressing mechanism are used for being fixed to the two nodes correspondingly, and the pre-pressing mechanism is used for applying tensioning force to the two nodes according to the preset maximum stress of the nodes. The pre-pressing method comprises the following steps that a test piece is placed on the support; and two ends of each prepressing mechanism are fixed to the two corresponding nodes correspondingly, and tensioning force is applied to two nodes through the prepressing mechanisms according to the preset maximum stress of the nodes. The support is advantaged in that high-altitude prepressing of the support is converted into ground prepressing, strength, rigidity and stability of each truss piece are effectively inspected, and safety of beam construction is ensured.
