The bolt-free type friction damping device mainly comprises a friction steel plate, pressing blocks, constraint blocks, elastic bodies, fixing blocks and friction materials, the number of the friction steel plate is one less than that of the pressing blocks, the friction steel plate is laminated between the fixing blocks, the fixing blocks are placed in the pressing blocks with grooves, layers of the elastic bodies are arranged between the pressing blocks and the fixing blocks, and the strip-shaped friction materials are installed between the friction steel plate and the fixing blocks, stiffening ribs and connecting plates are welded at one ends of the pressing blocks, pin shaft holes are formed in the end parts of the friction steel plate and the connecting plates, the restraining blocks slide into the two sides of the pressing blocks with the steps, resilience force generated by extruding the elastic bodies is locked, and the pressing blocks and the restraining blocks are fastened through bolts. Compared with the mode that a bolt provides pre-tightening force, the problem that the bolt is loosened after being fastened for a long time is solved, and the performance is more stable; the damping device is simple in structure, low in price, convenient to maintain and replace, stable in performance and adjustable in friction force.
