The invention discloses an electric pole climbing device capable of conducting hot-line work. The device comprises a cohesion mechanism, a supporting frame body, mounting plate bodies, an insulating short ladder and a fixing mechanism, wherein the cohesion mechanism is used for cohesion on an electric pole; the supporting frame body is fixedly arranged on the cohesion mechanism; the number of the mounting plate bodies is at least two, the mounting plate bodies are fixedly arranged at different height positions of the supporting frame body correspondingly, and the mounting plate bodies are provided with vertically arranged mounting through holes; the insulating short ladder is movably arranged in the mounting through holes in a penetrating mode; and the fixing mechanism is arranged on the mounting plate bodies and is used for fixing the insulating short ladder on the mounting plate bodies. Compared with an existing pole climber electric pole climbing mode, the device effectively solves the problem that distribution network hot-line working personnel safely stand on the electric pole, and reduces the risks of slipping, pole falling and electric shock.
