The invention belongs to the technical field of ceramic parts, and discloses a compact, high-hardness and high-strength Si3N4 ceramic ball as well as a preparation method and application thereof. The method comprises the following steps: adding Si3N4 powder, MgO powder and Yb2O3 powder into a solvent, carrying out ball milling and mixing, putting the mixed powder into a spherical mold for molding, and carrying out pressure-maintaining cold isostatic pressing at the pressure of 200-300MPa; and pre-sintering the obtained Si3N4 ceramic ball green body at 1400-1500 DEG C, putting the Si3N4 ceramic ball green body into buried sintering powder subjected to SPS sintering, heating to 1000-1200 DEG C by adopting spark plasma sintering, introducing a protective atmosphere, heating to 1400-1600 DEG C, and calcining under the pressure of 10-50 MPa to obtain the Si3N4 ceramic ball. The Si3N4 ceramic ball is uniform in component distribution, few in internal defects and relatively uniform in structure, and has the advantages of high density, high hardness, high strength and stable high-temperature performance.
本发明属于陶瓷零部件技术领域,公开了一种致密高硬高强的Si3N4陶瓷球及其制备方法和应用。该方法是将Si3N4粉、MgO粉和Yb2O3粉加入溶剂球磨混合,将混合粉体置于球形模具中成型,经压力为200~300MPa保压冷等静压后;将所得Si3N4陶瓷球生坯在1400~1500℃预烧后,将上述Si3N4陶瓷球生坯置于经SPS烧结的埋烧粉末中,采用放电等离子烧结升温至1000~1200℃时充入保护气氛,再升温至1400~1600℃,压力为10~50MPa煅烧,制得Si3N4陶瓷球。该Si3N4陶瓷球的成分分布均匀,内部缺陷少,组织较均匀,具有高致密度、高硬度、高强度和高温性能稳定的优点。
