The method comprises the following steps: mixing Si3N4 powder with a sintering aid MgO-Re2O3 to obtain mixed powder; adding the mixed powder into a spherical mold, and carrying out cold isostatic pressing molding at 120-240 MPa to prepare a preformed ball blank; and pre-sintering the pre-molded ball blank at 1400-1600 DEG C in a protective atmosphere, placing the pre-sintered bearing ball blank in a graphite mold, completely embedding the pre-sintered bearing ball blank in high-entropy boride powder, compacting the pre-sintered bearing ball blank, and carrying out spark plasma sintering at 1600-1800 DEG C to obtain the high-hardness and high-toughness silicon nitride bearing ball. By introducing the high-entropy boride powder, the prepared Si3N4 bearing ball has high hardness and high toughness and does not have anisotropy, the ball compactness reaches 98% or above, and the shape limitation of spark plasma sintering on a sintered sample is overcome.
本发明属于陶瓷制备技术领域,公开了一种高硬度和高韧性的氮化硅轴承球及其制备方法和应用。该方法是将Si3N4粉体与烧结助剂MgO‑Re2O3混合,得到混合粉体;将混合粉体加入球形模具中,在120~240MPa进行冷等静压成型,制得预成型球坯;然后在保护气氛下,对预成型球坯在1400~1600℃预烧结,将所得预烧轴承球坯放置在石墨模具中完全嵌于高熵硼化物粉末并压实,在1600~1800℃放电等离子烧结,制得高硬度和高韧性的氮化硅轴承球。本发明通过引入高熵硼化物粉末,制备的Si3N4轴承球具有高硬度和高韧性,不存在各向异性,球体致密度达到98%以上,克服了放电等离子烧结对烧结样品的形状限制性。
