The invention discloses a flexible supporting and retaining structure for treating landslide of an expansive soil excavation side slope. The flexible supporting and retaining structure comprises a fixed seat, a flexible grating and a mounting unit; fixing grooves are formed in the middles of the left side face and the right side face of the fixed seat, through holes are formed in the top ends of the fixing grooves, fixing blocks are arranged at the left end and the right end of the flexible grating, the fixing blocks are connected with the fixing grooves in an inserted manner, inserting grooves are formed in the top ends of the fixing blocks, a clamping assembly is arranged at the top end of the fixed seat, and a fixing assembly is arranged at the bottom end of the fixed seat; adjusting units are arranged at the front side and the rear side of the fixed seat correspondingly, pressing units are arranged at the front side and the rear side of the top end of the fixed seat correspondingly, and reinforcing assemblies are arranged at the front side and the rear side of the flexible grating correspondingly; and the mounting unit comprises a pulling plate, a telescopic rod, a spring and an inserting block, the bottom end of the telescopic rod is connected with the middle of the top end of the fixed seat, and the pulling plate is arranged at the top end of the telescopic rod.
