The invention provides a geopolymer modified ardealite building material which comprises the following components in parts by weight: 20-45 parts of a silicon-aluminum raw material, 1-20 parts of a filler, 45-75 parts of ardealite, 2-5 parts of an exciting agent, 2-4 parts of a polymer aid and 2-3 parts of a pigment. According to the method for preparing the building material by modifying the ardealite by utilizing the characteristics of the geopolymer material, the ardealite can be recycled, and the building material with high stability, corrosion resistance and leakage resistance can be prepared.
