The invention relates to the technical field of ardealite building materials, and discloses a water-resistant ardealite building material and a preparation method thereof. Comprising the following steps: mixing 500-900 parts of building phosphogypsum powder, 5-20 parts of a rheological agent, 25-36 parts of nano silicon dioxide, 40-60 parts of cement, 2-5 parts of fluidized bed combustion ash, 6-12 parts of coal gasification slag, 20-32 parts of a polycarboxylic acid water reducing agent, 8-12 parts of a melamine water reducing agent, 4-6 parts of an organic retarder, 4-6 parts of an inorganic retarder, 5-14 parts of a silane coupling agent, 4-9 parts of ammonia water and 6-14 parts of nano titanium dioxide; the preparation method comprises the following steps: weighing and proportioning by selecting an electronic scale with proper precision according to a formula ratio, improving the water stability and mechanical strength of a gypsum product by utilizing the activity of the sulfur-fixing ash and the coal gasification slag, enhancing the viscous force of each component in a reaction system by adding the silane coupling agent, and improving the water stability and mechanical strength of the gypsum product. A macromolecular water-blocking diaphragm is generated on the surface of the ardealite, so that the strength of the material is improved, and the water-blocking performance of the stable material is also improved.
