The invention relates to an anchor cable construction auxiliary device and method. The auxiliary device comprises a movable base, a vertical moving mechanism arranged on the movable base and a transverse moving mechanism arranged at the top end of the vertical moving mechanism. The transverse moving mechanism comprises an inner sleeve allowing an anchor cable to be inserted therein, a middle sleeve arranged on the inner sleeve in a sleeving mode and an outer sleeve arranged on the middle sleeve in a sleeving mode. The middle sleeve is provided with internal threads, and the inner wall of the first end of the middle sleeve is provided with a clamping limiting piece used for clamping the anchor cable and blocking the first end of the inner sleeve. The inner sleeve is provided with external threads matched with the internal threads, and the second end of the inner sleeve extends out of the second end of the middle sleeve to form an extending section. The extension section is sleeved with a driven gear used for driving the inner sleeve to rotate and blocking the second end of the middle sleeve, and the driven gear is meshed with a driving gear driven by a transmission motor to rotate. The outer sleeve is provided with a first containing groove for the driving gear and the transmission motor to be installed, and the outer sleeve is transversely installed at the top end of the vertical moving mechanism. The anchor cable can be rapidly and accurately moved and installed.
