The invention discloses premixed mortar and a preparation method thereof, and belongs to the technical field of building materials. The premixed mortar is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 30 to 50 parts of cement, 30 to 40 parts of sea sand with fineness modulus of 1.6 to 2.2, 20 to 30 parts of aluminum slag, 0.03 to 0.08 part of methyl cellulose, 0.1 to 1 part of basalt fiber, 1.5 to 2.0 parts of thickening agent and 0.1 to 0.5 part of polycarboxylate superplasticizer. The thickening agent is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 50 to 80 parts of bentonite, 10 to 20 parts of Stone ester, 5 to 15 parts of allophane, 5 to 10 parts of fly ash, 0.1 to 0.5 part of triethanolamine oleic soap, 0.1 to 0.5 part of stearic acid and 0.3 to 0.8 part of vinyl acetate. The aluminum slag is used as a raw material to be added into the premixed mortar and then mixed with the thickening agent and other raw materials for use, so that the cost is reduced; the prepared premixed mortar co-treats the aluminum slag, and slag resources can be effectively recycled.
