The invention provides an anhydrous gypsum self-leveling material and a preparation method and application thereof. The self-leveling material comprises the following components in parts by weight: 4000-6000 parts of II type anhydrous gypsum; 2000-3000 parts of an admixture; 2000-3000 parts of aggregate; 3-50 parts of a water reducing agent; 5-20 parts of a defoaming agent; and 3-15 parts of a water retention thickening agent. According to the self-leveling material, the II-type anhydrous gypsum is used as a main material, the admixture and the aggregate are used as auxiliary materials, the hydration and coagulation rate of the anhydrous gypsum is adjusted, the strength is improved, the water reducing agent, the defoaming agent, the water-retaining thickening agent and other components are added, and all the components are matched with one another to achieve a synergistic effect, the material has the characteristics of short setting time, high flowability, high strength, good volume stability, good water resistance and excellent performance; the II-type anhydrite takes ardealite as a raw material, is wide in source and low in cost, facilitates resource utilization of the ardealite, and avoids pollution of the ardealite to the environment.
