The invention relates to a cutting device for road construction. The cutting device comprises a walking mechanism; a cutting mechanism which is arranged in an electromechanical box and connected to a bottom frame through a first fixing frame, wherein the cutting mechanism at least comprises a second fixing frame, a motor and a cutting wheel; and a positioning and guiding mechanism which is arranged on the bottom frame on one side of the operation direction, is located on a vertical plane where the cutting groove formed by the cutting wheel in the cutting operation is located, and is constructed to calibrate the construction line on the road surface so as to guide the walking mechanism to advance in the operation direction all the time. According to the cutting device for road construction, the walking wheels are arranged on the two sides in the walking direction, a relatively stable walking posture is formed, and the positioning and guiding mechanism for calibrating the road surface construction line is arranged in the operation direction, so that constructors only need to drag the device in the operation direction, meanwhile, the construction line is calibrated through the positioning and guiding mechanism, the dragging direction is controlled, and high-quality road surface cutting operation can be realized.
