The crab running system for the double-steel-wheel road roller comprises: a crab running connecting assembly, wherein one end of the crab running connecting assembly is connected with a front frame, and the other end is connected with a rear frame; a hydraulic control assembly, wherein the hydraulic control assembly is used for controlling the crab running connection assembly to enable the front frame and the rear frame to be in a crabbing state or a neutral state; a vehicle control unit which is electrically connected with the hydraulic control assembly and used for controlling the hydraulic control assembly; and an obstacle detector which is in communication connection with the vehicle control unit and is used for detecting the environment around the whole vehicle and feeding back a signal to the vehicle control unit.
