The invention discloses an artificial grass yarn forming method, and relates to the technical field of artificial grass yarn manufacturing. The method comprises the following steps of mixing an auxiliary agent, basic resin and an antibacterial agent in a mixer to obtain a mixed master batch; adding basic resin and a functional material into the mixed master batch, melting, and extruding to prepare a film; cooling and curing the film, and cutting the film to be in a strip shape; heating and extruding the strip-shaped film into a thin sheet; pressing one end of the thin sheet, and cutting the thin sheet; and performing heat treatment on the cut thin sheet. According to the artificial grass yarn forming method, the grass yarn pressed into the thin sheet is cut according to the needed grass yarn size through a cutting knife, so that the grass yarn forming efficiency is improved, the obtained grass yarn is uniform in thickness, and the lawn manufacturing efficiency in the later period is improved; and meanwhile, grass yarns with various properties can be obtained according to different components under the method, forming is fast, operation is easy, and the method is suitable for application and popularization.
