The invention relates to the field of dampers, in particular to an eddy current tuned mass damper which comprises a mass block, a magnetic component, a damping plate and a first spring, the mass block is connected with the top of a to-be-damped structure through the first spring, the damping plate is installed at the bottom of the to-be-damped structure, the magnetic component is installed on the mass block, and when the magnetic component moves up and down, eddy current can be generated in the damping plate; the mass block is further connected with a gravity balancing device, and the gravity balancing device is installed on the top of the to-be-damped structure and used for balancing the gravity of the mass block. The gravity of the mass block is balanced by arranging the gravity balancing device, the gravity acting on the first spring by the mass block can be counteracted, and the situation that the first spring generates unrecoverable deformation due to the gravity of the mass block after being used for a period of time is avoided. Therefore, the eddy current tuned mass damper provided by the invention can be suitable for buildings with small vertical installation space, such as bridges and the like.
