The invention discloses a method for calculating the thickness of a rubber layer in a rural shock insulation support. The method comprises the steps that 1, the total thickness of the rubber layer of the rural shock insulation support is determined according to the horizontal rigidity required by an upper structure; 2, the corrected compression modulus of the rubber layer is calculated according to the vertical rigidity required by the upper structure for the rural shock insulation support and the total thickness of the rubber layer; 3, the elasticity modulus of the rubber layer during compression is obtained; and 4, a first shape coefficient of the rural shock insulation support is determined according to the elastic modulus when the rubber layer is compressed, and the single-layer thickness of the rubber layer is further determined. According to the requirement of a building for horizontal and vertical rigidity, the total thickness and the single-layer thickness of the rubber layers can be determined, the number of the required rubber layers can be further obtained according to the total thickness and the single-layer thickness, and the manufacturing of the rural shock insulation support is facilitated.
