The invention discloses a longitudinal sliding and vertical lifting construction method for a main truss of a large-tonnage cable-stayed hanging basket. According to the construction method, a front fulcrum hanging basket is assembled by utilizing the rigidity of a cross beam to bear the dead weight, and an assembling platform is only arranged at the position of a main longitudinal beam. By reasonably reducing the number of assembling platforms, construction materials can be effectively saved, and the construction cost is saved. According to the construction method, three pieces of round steel are longitudinally arranged on a longitudinal beam assembling platform of the front fulcrum hanging basket, grease is evenly smeared on the surface to serve as a sliding rail, and a jack is arranged on the sliding rail to push a sliding counter-force support. The hanging basket, the jack pushing sliding system and the support assembling platform form a whole, the support does not have external horizontal force in the sliding process of the hanging basket, and it is guaranteed that the hanging basket slides in place safely and stably.
