The invention discloses a hovering positioning assembly and a pull-out type faucet. The hovering positioning assembly comprises a shell with a linear groove formed in the inner wall, a rotating wheel rotationally installed on the shell, a coil spring with the two ends acting on the shell and the rotating wheel correspondingly, a pull rope wound around the periphery of the rotating wheel and a roller installed in the linear groove and a ball groove in a matched manner at the same time. The ball groove is formed in the end face of the side, facing the linear groove, of the rotating wheel, the coil spring is used for driving the rotating wheel to rotate in the first direction, one end of the pull rope extends out of the shell and is used for pulling the rotating wheel to rotate in the second direction opposite to the first direction, and the ball groove is configured to be suitable for allowing balls to roll in the second direction when the rotating wheel rotates in the first direction. When the rotating wheel rotates along the second direction, the rotating wheel rolls along the first direction to a position for limiting continuous rotation of the rotating wheel; and the pull-out type faucet adopts the hovering positioning mechanism, can achieve hovering positioning after a pull-out nozzle is pulled out, and is not influenced by the hovering positioning function when being put back.
