The invention discloses an underwater installation method for a large-size anchor pile. The method comprises the steps that S1, a transportation barge loads the anchor pile to sail to an operation sea area; S2, the transportation barge berths the workboat, and a workboat crane hoists the anchor piles in a horizontal hoisting mode; S3, a workboat crane is lowered, the weight of the anchor pile is gradually transmitted to an anchor pile hanging platform of the workboat from the workboat crane, and underwater pile turning operation of the anchor pile is conducted; S4, the workboat crane is connected with the anchor pile hanging rigging on the anchor pile hanging platform; S5, the anchor pile is hoisted by the workboat crane, the weight of the anchor pile is transferred to the workboat crane from the anchor pile suspension platform, and the anchor pile is vertically hoisted and lowered to the preset water depth; S6, the ROV adjusts the heading direction of the anchor pile underwater, and pile inserting operation of the anchor pile is conducted; and S7, the anchor pile automatically settles by means of the self weight. A conventional DP workboat can replace a large crane ship to complete hoisting, lowering and pile inserting operation of a large-size anchor pile, and the offshore construction operation cost can be greatly reduced.
