The invention relates to a preparation method of a lightweight autoclaved sand aerated concrete block. The method comprises the following steps: 1, weighing the following raw materials in parts by weight: 25-50 parts of cement, 15-25 parts of fly ash, 3-5 parts of desulfurized gypsum, 0.5-3.5 parts of a stable foaming agent and 1.5-5.5 parts of a gel material; 2, uniformly mixing fly ash and cement, adding water, and grinding to obtain a fine slurry; adding the desulfurized gypsum into water to prepare a suspension; 3, stirring the fine slurry, the suspension, the gel material and the stable foaming agent into a slurry, injecting the slurry into a mold, pre-curing for 2 hours, demolding, and cutting to obtain a semi-finished product; 4, performing constant-pressure steam curing to obtain the concrete block. In the preparation process of the stable foaming agent, a coupling agent and the surface of superfine aluminum powder are subjected to condensation polymerization, so that the superfine aluminum powder is covered, sodium metasilicate is hydrolyzed to form hydrated silicon oxide, high activity is achieved, and the coupling agent is adsorbed on the covered surface of the superfine aluminum powder, so that the superfine aluminum powder is endowed with excellent water dispersion performance.
