A sluice pier protection structure comprises an arc-shaped drainage plate and a reinforcing assembly which are arranged on one side of a sluice pier body, the arc-shaped drainage plate is fixedly connected to the sluice pier body, and a slow flow area for water to pass through exists between the side face of the arc-shaped drainage plate and the sluice pier body; the reinforcing assembly comprises a plurality of reinforcing plates, and the reinforcing plates are fixedly connected between the gate pier body and the arc-shaped drainage plate; and a plurality of water passing holes are formed in the arc-shaped drainage plate. The water gate pier has the advantage that the impact resistance effect of the water gate pier is improved.
