The rammed earth wall comprises a wall body, reinforcing keels are arranged at the corners of the wall body, the joint of the longitudinal wall body and the transverse wall body and the joint of the wall body and a roof in the horizontal or vertical direction, the reinforcing keels are connected and fastened through studs, and the reinforcing keels and the wall body are connected and fastened through studs. The invention further relates to a construction method of the rammed earth wall for enhancing the horizontal shear resistance. The construction method comprises five steps. According to the rammed earth wall, the rift-grain tensile strength of the bamboo chips can be effectively utilized, the horizontal shear resistance of the rammed earth wall is improved, inclined cracks of the wall body under the action of horizontal shear force are effectively inhibited, and therefore the durability of the wall body is improved. The reinforcing keels can form a stable stress frame in the wall body, and the reinforcing keels and the reinforcing bamboo chips are connected with each other to form a stable lateral resistance system, so that the safety of the rammed earth wall under the action of an earthquake can be improved.
