The invention discloses an assembly for a rotating checkgate. The assembly comprises a checkgate bottom plate; a weir gate shaft; the weir gate side plate is fixed on the side part of the weir gate bottom plate; the checkgate door plate is rotationally fixed between the checkgate side plates through the checkgate door shaft and can rotate relative to the checkgate side plates or the checkgate bottom plate; the sealing piece is fixed on the checkgate bottom plate, and the checkgate door plate can rotate in a sealing area where the sealing piece is located relative to the checkgate bottom plate. According to the invention, the checkgate door plate is rotatably fixed on the checkgate side plate through the checkgate door shaft, and the checkgate door plate can rotate relative to the checkgate side plate or the checkgate bottom plate, so that a traditional operation mode of vertically controlling the gate to move up and down is changed into an operation mode of axially rotating the checkgate; therefore, large power can be output without overcoming all gravity of the checkgate in the rotation process of the checkgate, and the power output cost is greatly reduced.
