The coal-fired slag-based foam light soil comprises the following components: cement, foam, fly ash, modified slag, a water reducing agent and water, the preparation method comprises the following steps: 1, mixing the cement, the fly ash, the modified slag, the water reducing agent and the water in corresponding parts by weight, and uniformly stirring to obtain premixed light soil; and 2, mixing the foams and the premixed light soil in corresponding parts by weight, and uniformly stirring to obtain the coal-fired slag-based foamed light soil. The coal-fired furnace slag-based foam light soil can be used for construction of building outer walls and roadbed cushions, and has the advantages of high compressive strength and stable working performance.
